Thanksgiving Dinner in St. Louis



Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? If you are like me, you are already starting to think about Thanksgiving dinner. I enjoy planning out the menu and cooking all the different dishes, especially the pies. But between home renovations, taking care of twin baby boys and work, I will happily leave the meal prep and clean-up to someone else this year.


If you are interested in a more relaxed Thanksgiving, have someone else do the cooking for you! Here are some of the best places for Thanksgiving dinner in St. Louis.


Innsbrook will be having a Thanksgiving Grand Buffet featuring turkey with gravy, honey-glazed ham, chicken madeira and grilled salmon, plus all of your favorite holiday dishes. After feasting, you may want to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and lake views by going for a stroll. Enjoy one of Innsbrook's seven hiking trails.

How fun would it be to have Thanksgiving dinner in a haunted mansion? Start a new family tradition with an all-you-can-eat dinner at The Lemp Mansion featuring roasted turkey and pineapple glazed ham. , Lemp made CNN's list of top 10 spookiest buildings in the world. If you are brave, you can even book a room and stay overnight!

Tucanos is not unique to St. Louis, but it is one of the best Thanksgiving dinners I have had the pleasure of eating. If you can't decide how to cook your turkey, Tucanos has you covered. They have grilled, baked and fried turkey along with your various holiday staples. You most likely will not have room for dessert, but you can always take it home for later!

For an upscale option, Boundary at The Cheshire hotel in Clayton will provide you with a creative Thanksgiving meal. Their Thanksgiving buffet features fresh shucked oysters, fresh carved turkey, prime rib, braised short rib, pan seared salmon and grilled chicken breast. The pecan pie with bourbon whipped cream sounds delightful!

One of the most important aspects of a perfect Thanksgiving meal is the ambiance. Can you imagine dinner in front of a cozy fire? I've always dreamed of having a fireplace in my dining room. Pere Marquette Lodge will make all your Thanksgiving dinner dreams come true! The focal point of the dining room is a large stone fireplace, which is perfect for a crisp, fall day. Enjoy their carving stations, side dishes, salads and bananas foster station.

If you want to enjoy the ambiance and coziness of your own home, place an order at Dierbergs and they will make Thanksgiving dinner for you. Plan when you will pick it up and enjoy your Thanksgiving meal in the comforts of your home without all the cooking and dirty dishes. Make sure to place your order by Mon., Nov. 19 and pick up your order Wed., Nov. 21. You must order their Cider Glazed Butternut Squash with Sweet Potatoes and the Bourbon-Glazed Roasted Apples.
